Projects

  • EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS – each year the Club dedicates funds that it raises to supporting local education. Every year, our Dictionary Project supplies every third grader in Ansonia with his/her own personal dictionary. The Club generally supports Back to School efforts in the community aby purchasing school supplies for one or more students. A $1,500 High School Scholarship is provided each year to a graduating senior matriculating to higher education.
  • COMMUNITY PROGRAMS – the Club supports civic service efforts through recognition and support as well as personal involvement. Each year the Club sponsors a Community Service Awards Dinner at which it recognizes the outstanding first responders in the Ansonia Police, Fire and EMS departments. In 2015, Club members repaired and repainted the exterior wood surfaces of the Ansonia Salvation Army building. The Club also has helped with improvements to Haddad Park and added a standing clock to the downtown green space.   It also raised $1,200 in conjunction with Seymour-Oxford Rotary for Fisher House CT to aid homeless.
