The Club hosted Victoria Ortega and her father, Winston, at the Crave Restaurant on June 6. Ms. Ortega, a graduate of Ansonia High School, was presented the Club’s 2018 annual scholarship. Club President Lori Veillette handted Ms. Ortega a check for $1,500 during lunch. Ms. Ortega will attend Carnegie Mellon University in September, where she will study mechanical engineering, concentrating on robotics. During her tenure at AHS, she was the recipient of several awards, captained the Ansonia volleyball team, and volunteered for Griffin Hospital and the Red Cross.
